What to know before beginning Yoga * Yoga is best on an empty stomach, light snack is fine. * All props are provided. * Please arrive on time. It is harmful to the body to arrive too late because you will miss the warmup. * Studio opens 10-15 minutes prior to class time if you have any questions. * Advise instructor of any injuries. * Please respect the space and respect others. * Beginners welcome. * Drop in's welcome. * Have fun.
Description of Classes Light Yoga - If you already have a physical lifestyle and want to include a yoga practice, this is the perfect class for you. This class is also a great choice if your recovering from injuries or new to yoga. This class deals with the common areas of tension in the body; neck shoulders and lower back. Great for anyone who drives alot or sits in a desk often. Lots of deep stretching and proper breathing, you will feels amazing after just one class. Sivananda- Great for beginners as well as advanced students that want a more classical approach to Yoga. This class follows the Sivananda tradition, a beautiful sequence of poses held for some time to really feel the benefits. This class will vary in level from class to class; all levels are welcome to participate. (This class is usually in a series). All Levels - This is a structured class that includes: Breathing, a standing warm up series, strength building, steady poses, and relaxation. Level 1/2 - Flow from one pose to another smoothly with your breath. A moving meditation while molding a strong flexible body and mind. Intermediate and advanced poses are introduced in this class. If you find sitting still is hard for you a flowing yoga class may be for you. We will end our class with some great steady poses and relaxation. This class is labeled level 1/2 because class level will vary slightly depending on the students needs and energy level. . |
